Mirror work and its Power

Ornate silver mirror frame against a cosmic, starry background with swirling blue and white nebulae, creating a dreamy, mystical mood.

Mirrors were not common, they were rare. The first ones weren’t even glass. They were polished stone like obsidian thousands of years ago. Then they used copper and after that, bronze. Imagine seeing your own reflection clearly for the first time in a world without modern surfaces.

That would have felt sacred.

In ancient cultures, mirrors weren’t just objects. They were valuable. Often connected to goddesses, sometimes buried with the dead and also used in rituals. People understood that reflection does something to the human spirit which is where mirror work comes to life.

Across traditions, reflective surfaces were used for scrying which is gazing into water, metal, or dark glass to receive insight.

Opening yourself to the unseen is not something to approach lightly.

I call that F*ck around and find out a lot of the time.

When people speak about opening portals or summoning spirits, they are speaking about invitation. And invitations matter.

Mythology is not childish fiction. It is sacred storytelling. Ancient cultures were describing encounters with the unseen in the language available to them. To dismiss it entirely is arrogant. To engage it without discernment is careless. Both extremes are dangerous.

If someone approaches scrying or spirit contact casually, without grounding, without prayer, without spiritual authority, they are opening themselves to influence they may not fully understand and somthing they can not get rid of.

You do not always know what is responding.

Not every presence is aligned. Not every impression is truth. Not every experience is from God. Spiritual work is not entertainment. It is not ego. It is not performance.

It is an invitation. And invitations should only be extended with discernment, humility, and alignment with God. I can assure you I have had some clients with sesious issues, that have even made me sick during removal.

If there is uncertainty, close the practice. Pray. Ground yourself. Step back.

Not every door needs to be opened.

Discernment is protection.

When I work it is always alinged with higher purpose and God. I work with the intention of greater good and the elimination of dark and negative energy. I was taught something years ago about protection and mirrors by a very gifted man Alan Pilkington. He was my mentor for many years and he was a man of great integirty. We were very close up until his passing. He taught me many things that I plan on passin on to you.

Super simple and very effective. All you need is a pen, piece of paper and sticky tape.

We begin by focusing on a name, a situation, or a problem that feels intrusive, heavy, or spiritually disruptive, you write it down on a piece of paper and place it behind the mirror.

Seems simple right? Well it is. Ilike to make sure i am grounded and that what I am doin ghas my full focus, Intention is everything.

The intention is not to trap anything, not to conjure anything, but to fight something unseen and to establish boundary.

A mirror reflects. That is its nature. It does not absorb. It does not keep. It reflects back.

So symbolically, when you place something behind the mirror, you are declaring that whatever stands in front of you has no authority to pass through you. It is met with reflection. It is sent back. It does not gain entry into your mind, your home, or your spirit.

Protection in this context works on two levels.

Candles and crystals on a wooden table reflect in an ornate mirror with a note saying "Money Blocks." Cosmic background sets a mystical mood.

First, it clarifies intention. You are naming the issue instead of allowing it to float around undefined. Naming or acknowledging something reduces its power over you.

Second, it reinforces authority. You are saying this does not belong within my space. It can exist. It can be real. But it does not get access, it is blocked.

The mirror becomes a visual boundary marker. Every time you see it, you are reminded that what is written behind it is contained outside your authority.

Approach it with grounded spiritual authority, it becomes a declaration.

Spiritual protection is important.

It is about order.

You name the problem. You place it behind you. You stand in peace.

The mirror simply reflects what does not belong and does not have your permission.

Your authority is what keeps it there, you are more powerful than you know.
